Blog 4: Pt one and two
Pt One, Option One
I’m a very conflict- avoidant person. The moment trouble starts brewing I want OUT. I’ve definitely left in the middle of family functions, meetings, and more. I do not like to fight and I even more hate watching a fight. The drama is interesting for a moment until it involves me, then I high tail it out as fast as I can. As an adult it seems childish and elementary to entertain conflict. I have always been a conflict avoider, I didn’t get into fights, or arguments. It gave me this uncomfy feeling, A mix of fear, guilt, and adrenaline. I don’t think conflict is necessary, but I have been known to finish something that someone else started. When avoiding conflict I have noticed I avoid going out entirely.

What might you use outside of class to help you communicate better? Do you feel you have more tools available to you to be a better communicator? Why or why not? Don't forget to bring in that outside source!
In this class I have learned many things, how to better communicate, how to more effectively communicate with others, how to understand other cultures and what is appropriate, and so much more.
